Hi everyone!
I finished my 4th of July quilt. WooHoo!!
And its another Plus quilt. I know...another plus quilt. What can I say that I haven't already said? I love this quilt pattern and even after 8 plus quilts I still fill the same.
This time I did it in red, white and blue for the 4th of July and I LOVE IT.
I started this quilt on 06/21/2020 and finished it on 07/01/2020.
Most of the fabric used in the quilt top is from stash and leftover fabric from the other 4th of July quilts I've made in the past. The binding fabric is new. While I was picking out the fabric for this quilt, I wasn't sure what I was going to use for the binding so I took a trip to a local quilt shop and found this fabric white stars on a black background. The fabric is from Patrick Lose Fabrics and is called "Starry." I love how the black looks next to the other colors in the quilt.
I tried to buy quilting fabric for the backing and even found something I liked at Joann's but the thought of buying 4 yards of fabric at $8.99 a yard (not including the 50% coupon I had) just wasn't happening when I had a king-size sheet from the thrift store that I got for $2.50. Need I say more.
For my quilting, I choose to do straight line quilting on both sides of the seams going vertically and horizontally. And the binding was all done by machine.
The quilt finished at 63" x 75".
Anyway... photos...
So now I'm ready for the 4th of July!!
Thanks for stopping by.
